Owner/Director Mike Watson, a Registered Master Builder & Licensed Building Practitioner, received his Trade Qualification in Carpentry in 1988 and has stayed working and learning in this ever-changing Industry that he loves.
Mike has gathered a Team with wide ranging experience on projects of all sizes, so although living locally and working mainly in and around the surrounding districts, their ability & reputation have taken them all around the country.

We are members of Site Safe and ensure all Staff training is kept up to date, plus our Apprentices keep the Tradesman on their toes.

Our owner and director Mike Watson believes the building trade is more than just a job. After 18 years as a sole trader, Mike started Wat’s On Building in 2005. Since then, demand for his services has taken him all over New Zealand. As a proud local, Mike is committed to helping Whanganui grow by building quality new homes, and helping maintain or renovate the older ones.
